Today we (@mlparker and myself)set up a room in matrix / riot to use over a Slack instance I created last week, I have been pinging Matrix invites to a few people.
If you want to join chat about the project let me know and I can invite you, we have set up chat as encrypted too.
If you have any thoughts or comments on Matrix / Riot shout but I think its a good alternative to Slack in terms of suiting the overall project (as much as I like Slack)
