Privacy - discussion point

The system must respect the privacy of the people that use it. This should go beyond GDPR and should be more linked to Ethical Design practices.

The system should only know what it has to know, administrators should only know what they need to know.

The creation and collection of these knowledge objects is a digital extension of ourselves, augmenting our thinking and thus by definition these objections fall under the protect of an individuals human rights.

Protection of individual data will be considered for every feature.

It may be possible to selectively deliver content based on each user’s licensing specifications, while delivering offline experience of entire maps, without distributing local copies of protected data.

User is banned or leaves etc.

  • Publicly licensed content remains accessible.
  • Privately licensed content becomes redacted.
